Not always the effort of stay-at-home washing, soaking and scrubbing fruits and vegetables is enough to remove excess pesticides. Doctors say the best options are still the organic products that come out of the garden without pesticides.

Testing of the National Agency of Sanitary Surveillance (ANVISA) identified residues of up to four different pesticides in various samples of fruits and vegetables.

- The record holders of waste that we found were lettuce, tomato and strawberry - the chief points of ANVISA in Parana, Elaine Castro Neves in an interview with "Good Morning Brazil", TV Globo.

According to her, the venoms are used most often in the crop and absorbed by the plant through the roots. Elaine explains that there are no studies proving that wash, iron sponge, leave in the fridge or take the bark removes the poison.

One tip is to avoid buying fruits and vegetables lisinhas perfect. Not always what is most beautiful is the healthiest.

- If you have a pet, a little hole that ate a worm on the lettuce, this means that there was not poison - Elaine says.

She also recommends giving preference to products of the time and always varying the menu. But to get rid of pesticides since there are only two ways: to maintain a garden at home or take organic products.
